  2. Might as well request the last episode 1 slot, have never participated in a community project or mapped in MBF21, but here's hoping this could be a great start!
  3. Hmm, it was originally a little easier, but I ended up making it harder. I didn't have too much trouble while playtesting it without secrets, but I do agree that it's a bit of a difficulty spike. The development of the map was spread over a month or so, and I ended up going all the way from start to end of a going down replay, so... there's your explanation of why it got so much harder :P. I'll try to keep the encounter difficulty a bit more consistent in my future maps though! Also, sorry about not really responding to anyone, university has been busy and I haven't had much time but I should have some more time to watch demos soon.
  4. Over the last few months, I've been working on and off on my first doom map, and I think it's finally ready for release! The map is doom format, though a limit removing port is needed. Tested in DSDADoom complevel 2. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T_Bu6dxIgUxHcqq0pQS2S-8Bs2q3DrSg/view?usp=sharing I was very much learning a lot of things about how to make a doom map while making this, so earlier parts of the map can end up being a little rougher than later sections. The difficulty also increases a little sharply at some points, but overall it's not too hard. Difficulty settings aren't implemented. All textures are from doom 2, and the music is Iodine by jimmy.   5. 0 reads as "no flags", because the flags argument is actually an integer.
  6. brutal doom. definitely brutal doom. every single goddamn discussion is the same and it makes me want to tear my eyes out.
  7. Personally when playing vanilla, i always pistol start. However, if i'm playing with any (zdoom) mods, i usually like to play continuous. A lot of mods put some good effort into their higher tier weapons and it's nice to get to spend some more quality time with them.
  8. So many wads, so little time... well, looks like my backlog just got another year's worth of maps added to it.
  9. One of the big reasons that fireblu is memed is that it kills most compression algorithms. RIP the bitrate in any stream.
