I recently played Escape From Tarkov and the sound work in this game is phenomenal. Absolutely everything - from steps on different surfaces, to characters screaming and shooting, all this is at its best. Silent Hill 3 simply has the best sounds and dark ambient in the entire series. Even when you're just walking through the twisted and distorted corridors, the game truly terrorizes you with its sound design, forcing you to shrink into your chair in fear. Yesss. These were exactly my thoughts. Shooting, ambient music, picking up objects - all this has a very good sound design. I especially like the sound of the SSG reloading from RoE. It's just.... so massive and powerful. Also Half-Life 1 and Counter Strike 1.6 have very good sounds
