  1. What. The actual fuck! That was AMAZING! I have no idea how you did half the stuff in there, and I probably didn't even see all of it, but holy crap!
  2. Oh man, that looks awesome! I hope they release an asset pack that'll allow people to build their own maps for it!
  3. You need to run it in GZDoom, or at least ZDoom. Boom-based ports won't run it.
  4. Wow, glad I added more ammo just before releasing it! There were a couple ammo drops you missed that could have made it easier, but you got the majority of it.
  5. lol, didn't even think about that when I named it. I was just thinking of generic sounding names like Facility, etc... Have you played it? If so, what'd you think?
  6. Just finished up another map for Doom 2. Instead of basing it on a D&D map like the last two, I used the map of Hyrule Castle from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and I think it worked out really well! Hope you guys enjoy it! (and please rate it on moddb if you don't mind) https://www.moddb.com/games/doom-ii/addons/uac-fortress Map Format: Doom 2 UDMF Port: GZDoom (I made frequent use of slopes, 3d floors, etc..., no crouching or jumping required) One level (Map01) - should be about 7-9 minutes of gameplay
  7. I'd put myself at a solid 7. I use GZDoom with modern controls. If I could change one thing about classic doom it would be to have limited ammo in the weapon and reloads. -do you play with autoaim or do you use mouselook? Mouselook for sure. -do map sets that incorporate jumping and crouching as something you HAVE to do bother you? I don't mind. -do scaled sprites bother you? Do you want everything that old doom pixel way? I think the aesthetic of classic Doom just works, scaled sprites change that and it doesn't always look better. -Do custom monsters or weapons affect your enjoyment of the wad you're playing? Only if they're not well done. -do you prefer the music to be MIDI? I prefer MIDI
  8. Doom E1M1 & E1M2. There's just something special about the flow of those two that feels, for lack of a better word, perfect.
  9. No, I've definitely gone through the same thing. It's just not great.
  10. I challenge BaileyTW to beat one of my favourites: Doom 2 map 23 - Barrels O' Fun. UV, pistol start. You can go for 100% kills/secrets/items if you want, but not necessary.
  11. Doomguy. Doom Slayer sounds like something an edgy 14 year old would think sounds awesome, but IMO it smacks of trying too hard.
  12. Thanks! It was about $4k CAD used. It's a 2006.
