I'm just a dude from the midwest who loves guitars and 90s games. One of my first real memories was crowding around the computer playing shareware Doom with my two older brothers and my dad. I must have completed Knee Deep in the Dead hundreds of times before my dad came home with Doom 2 some months later. I shelved playing Doom for a few years from high school through college before I discovered an IcarusLives video on Brutal Doom. I bought a gaming laptop the next day to play it. After absolutely blistering through tons of modern and classic wads, I got very burned out on an overly modded Doom. I started to play Ultra-Violence pistol starts about 5 years ago and my love for the game has never been higher. Being able to experience these amazing wads running vanilla Doom made me realize just how much I missed out on playing them with so many enhancements. MtPain27's videos came out shortly thereafter and my pilgrimage hasn't stopped since.
