I hope I am not too late to help with this problem? Best way to solve this is to copy your entire map and save it as a prefab. Then start a new blank map in UDMF format and load the prefab. I have done this, myself. Good luck 👍

When you kill all the snowmen the bridge will rise and you can cross the gap. Walk to the tree and the next event will happen.
I am glad you enjoyed the game. It was my first game. I was learning doom building as I constructed it. It is more an adventure game than a shoot-em-up. That is why it is slow paced compared to other great games that people have submitted on Doomworld.
