  2. An expansion adding various types of space/aircraft, and space combat is in the very early planning stages. It isn't gonna come out until everything else is done. It'll be in the vain of the powersuit expansion for sure. If you are knowledgeable on aircraft, sci-fi or otherwise, and would like to contribute, head over to the discord. There's a chat dedicated to scheming this expansion. It's something I think would be really cool if it reaches it's potential.
  3. Sign of Evil is the best composition easily, but let down by midi limitations. Remixes of Sign of Evil kick major ass. Bye Bye American Pie though is dollar store Them Bones and I find it needlessly charming. Though the source material is better for sure. DOOM, Message for The Archvile, and Into Sandy's City are pretty close to sign of evil's excellent composition but fared better in the midi format. DOOM has a slow start but I think it's my favorite once it really kicks into gear. Worthy of it's name for sure. Doom 3's theme is also great, same with Aubrey's main theme from Doom PS1 and D64. Either of those two would make for a worthy series theme. Hiding the Secrets is another great doom 1 track that is better in remixes. See: 3DO Version of Hiding the Secrets. I think it all comes down to tone really. There's a few staple tones in the original games. Dark but fun, jubilation, and fun but with a haunting or sinister edge. If that makes any sense. There's also atmospheric but I prefer compositions that elicit more emotions from me personally lol. Cyberdemon's boss theme in episode 2 is up there too and is carried by it's fun with an edge and the emotions it spawns. It's tonally perfect, right up there with the best of the best. The composition is simple, but that fits really well for what sort of level it's being played in.
  4. Vanilla Update: Hurtfloor Update Added "Water" and Hurtfloors properly as a mechanic. See the combat doc for more details. Added "Experimental Features" to the bottom of the main doc. This is where features I'm not 100% sure on will go. Added a new Experimental Feature.
  5. I like the armor in my Doom TTRPG a lot. It synergizes well with the shooting mechanics, especially when it comes to shotguns , rifles, and pistols. Armor is among the more complex mechanics but it's what allows all the different weapon types to have different roles in combat, and balances them. :) This is to say, an armor system that works in a somewhat realistic way (helps against rifle and pistol rounds, very effective against shotguns, etc) has rarely been explored in video games and is kind of cool.

  7. I've always been a fan of the Blazkowicz connection. For one, obviously with the nu doom games, Doom Guy has escaped his original domain as a self insert and became a character of his own. Secondly, if you take the mugshots into account, Doom Guy and Blazkowicz are very nearly the same. Thirdly, it's pretty cool narratively. Bloodline stories are always fun.

  10. New Expansion: Peppergrinder (An advanced weapon expansion based off of the hideous destructor mod of the same name.) The ability to put a special scope on two vanilla weapons. 22 Brand New Weapons, with brand new proficiency perks. An "Artifact" weapon. Of which only one may exist at any given time. With especially powerful perks attached to it. Two new weapon types. "Plasma Bolters" and Sawnoff / Chokeless Shotguns. Two weapons with attachments that can be attached to them to make them stronger. New fun lore. Fan favorite Hideous Destructor weapons such as the TRO-G, Bastard Rifle, Oddball, Yeyuze, Fulgur, HLAR, Rubicon Microwave Gun, Zorcher, VERA machine gun, and etc. Pairs well with Bangers & Mash, as well as Mutated Monsters.   11. Vanilla Update: Overhauled dodging minorly. "Burst speed" and "Stamina Enhanced Burst Speed" have become the same action. Mainly so the whole system works nicer with the footwork action system recently introduced. Reduces unneeded variables too.
  12. Vanilla Update: Updated the shotgun accuracy requirement to half that of your choke instead of the entirety of your choke. Makes modded 20+ chokes work. Makes vanilla high chokes not nigh impossible to hit with. Is good.

  14. Vanilla Update: Reworked armor, it's now better and worse in some ways. But mainly more dynamic in a way that isn't painful to deal with for either the player or GM. Buffed Blue Armor significantly.
