One of the most overplayed maps in deathmatch history, but it IS very well designed. If you want to be in a tournament, practice here, because there's a 100% chance of it being on any tourney maplist. Map22 (the filler map Brian mentions in the description) looks like the start to a decent SP/Coop map, but would be tedious as hell in Deathmatch.

    Sonic Doom

It reminds me of the stupid "badly drawn" cartoon memes - sanic, dolan, etc. I guess this was ahead of it's time in terms of shittyness, but shittyness is all the rage these days, so 5 white stars!

    ROKS Rocket Arena 1

Pretty basic map, full of rocket launchers and health. Not bad, not amazing

    Equinox

A classic, with a few imperfections. It's awesome though, for sure worth downloading.
Fucking incredible. Looks good, plays good.. What's not to love?
Aw man, I don't get any credit for my work on map17? :( Anyway, this is a pack of Dwango-like maps, definitely not for newschool players. Personally I love oldschool maps, but many will see the design choices as flaws. I kinda admire Joe's attitude of "fuck modern conventions, I do what I want." You won't be having any "serious" matches here but it looks like it would be fun/funny for some frags with friends.
Bonus points for the name alone - Love me some Hendrix.

rape face in the statusbar! these are actually old badly aged DM maps. Decent for 1995, but outdated. Oh, -1 star for those annoying sounds..

    CoreLess

74 monsters? This doesn't seem like a DM map, and the texturing is pretty ugly..

    Alive

    Memfis map, insta 5

    eck.zip

I love how some of the sounds are glitched. DSPUNCH randonly says "a chelthy!". All bullshit aside, these are terrible.
Files like this really send me on a trip - The "B.I." era of Doom modding. (before internet or before idgames, take your pick)
A few bugs, but overall this is great for 1996. Very clever adding extra frames of animation for the boob lady.

    Cold Sweat

    very, VERY basic DM arena..

    COLOR CODIFICATION

A map far too large to ever work in a DM. A relic from the past. (Great taste in music though, and the idea of a color coded teleport system is a good one.)
If FunDuke reuploaded this in 2006, then how on earth does it have a date from '97? That's a question that needs answering. Anyway, the shotgun doesn't really need a FAQ.. It's a good sniper gun, deals decent damage, and is commonly found in-game.
What exactly does "love's taco's" mean? I'll be pondering that shit all night

    Victim Deathmatch

Maps 01 and 03 are awesome. 02 sucks, and 04 is decent aside from being cramped and having limited ways to get for A to B. I was pleasantly surprised though, with a little tweaking and some item placement fixing these could be excellent duel maps.
Good sprite work and level design for something so old.
The archive has MUCH worse on it than this, which is a pack of some cool HacX screenshots. This is only about 300kb.. And truth be told, I've never played HacX - Perhaps now is the time!
I wonder how old the comment above is? I remember playing this back in 98 or 99.... Memory lane. Only a few sprites are replaced in this one, maybe there was a later version, I specifically remember a bad Cartman sprite for the player. I laughed at the "You killed kenny!" graphic when I was 8 years old. Time flies! Anyway, this has aged like sunday milk.

    Green Pile

Quite small, but I like them!
What's the point of a walkthrough that doesn't explain the various ways to beat the map / the secrets / strategy, etc? Seems pointless, even in 1996 - It doesn't tell you anything you wouldn't be able to figure out on your own, defeating the purpose of a walkthrough!
