    Kinda weird, even by 1996 standards. There's these like theatre-areas where it looks like all the demons are watching a play, without the play. Sadly this has nothing to do with the famous UDM wads, either.

    Definitely an interesting experiment!
    This is one of my all-time favorites, but it's kind of a shame that it overshadows both the AmberX and FetalDM series by Adelusion and Mattrim - They were pretty much "gothicDM before gothicDM", but in a good way. Check em out.

    I just love it when authors find their old wads and comment on them - Something about it gives me like empathy-nostalgia or some shit. Anways, the maps aren't amazing, but theyre passable (especially for a young teen in the 90's.)

    This was made 2 days before I turned 2 years old.. It's a decent DM map for the time, it's not too large and there's plenty of room for combat. Another oldie that could be made great with a few tweaks & improved texturing.

    Long winding hallways, STARTAN everywhere. These kinds of maps aged like milk..
    Too plain - Hasn't aged well.. And the weapon placement is lame, as in, you'd probably spend way too much time with the pistol.
    It could do with more interconnectivity - There are a few dead ends. Oh, and the damaging floor, why?? Anyways, it's passable, I wouldn't mind having a match here.

    This is pretty damn good. Competent texturing, decent weapon placement - Other than the 64 wide tunnel leading to the chaingun, what's that all about? With minor tweaking this could be made into something great.
    This is the cream of the 1994 crop - Very authentic E1 feel, texturing is clean, monster and item placement is competent. Still would pass a decent maps if they were released today. The layout of E1M2 is a little bit stringy, but compared to it's contemporaries these maps are gold!

    What the hell? I guess this could be kinda useful as a base if you wanted to put new hands on the guns.. But like another person said, there's like a rabbit turd on the pistol - Why? Oh god that fucking knife is hilarious too, I gotta give it 5 just because it's awful animation gave me a good laugh!

    Mark's Maps

    The maps are mostly too large and plain, but the challenge they offer is solid fun. With some TLC, these could be made into something gold for the modern Doom crowd. There's a "circular door" on map14 that certainly would have wow'd me back in the day. 3.5*

    Fairly well made map with custom textures, but it's kinda ugly. You can't play it in singleplayer, has to be in coop or DM (but DM would suck here.) Here's a tip for Zandronum users- open the console, type 'addbot', the type 'map map01' to reset as if it was a coop game. Now you can play the map as intended.
