Put yourself in a time before Doom Builder, hell, before most of the crazy shit mappers do now was even documented... This is pretty darn good considering the limits. There's only like 2 custom textures. This deserves praise even if I'm 18 years late.
To the gy above, just a hunch, but "It has more detailed levels than Doom:Rampage Edition" seems like a joke - D:RE was famous for it's 1994-esque mapping.
Whenever I downvote 1994 wads, I feel like I'm picking on a child.. Anyway, this map is decent for it's time. Shrink the whole thing down by 50%, add some more texture variation and enemies, and it would still get a solid grade today. To me, this deserves a decent score for it's age.
Competent considering it was 1994, but bland by modern standards. I admit, using monsters for ambient sounds and adding echoes was a nice touch for such an old map.
Wow, cool the see the author commented on his ancient work. If it was made in 1994, that's all the more impressive. Looks like a damn fine OS deathmatch map - Nothing strikes me as 'awful' or sily about the design and item placement.
This is pretty much every bad mapping decision you could make rolled into one. Zero coherence/theme and either repeatedly easy, or overly hard, depending on which room. I know, I know, it's an old WAD - but it still sucks.
The first comment says "Retarded Amerinazis" even though the author clearly states he's from Sweden.. I love when retards call other people retarded, don't you? Anyway - The mapitself is really well made. Some areas are a bit cramped, but it adds to the difficulty in a fun way. 5*
There's a bug where the players can get stuck in the BFG/Berserk room. The doors won't open. It's a shame because the map itself is fantastic otherwise.
