A test for Doom Pro's straight outta 1996. This was one of my first ever PWADs, and let me just say it's still pretty impressive. This is a sprawling level that's like an early invasion map, sort of. You spend most of your time gunning through countless hoardes. It may seem like there's tons of Ammo, berserk kits, etc. laying around... but trust me, you'll need to save it. My par time on this thing is like 30 minutes, or maybe more. If you kill all the enemies faster than that.. You're really damn good!

This is an awesome map: Suitable for up to 12 players, yet 1v1 would still work here too. Well textured and well thought out map with secrets worth searching for. It's criminal that this isn't included in ZDDL or some such, because this is damn fine mapping. (And Marty, they DID end up making Doom 3 many years later.. And I'm sure it'd have you begging for some fast-paced Quake action... *sigh*)

Wow. Well textured, well built and patience testing. It takes quite a bit of skill to take down every monster on the map, even if there is no exit. You'd need 4 players in DM to keep this interesting, though honestly it's a pretty damn good singleplayer map, more so than for DM by the looks. Really nice 'see through' lift and new textures. If released today this would get a 3.5, but given the age, Mr. Romero earned a solid 5.

Me and my buddy beat this thing all the way through recently using Doom Legacy splitscreen. These maps are really interesting and confsuing, but very rewarding to figure out. There's the occasional game breaking crusher bug, but overall I'd say if we're adding an extra point for age then this deserves a 6 out of 5.

I have to give this 2 stars - I love the Terminator theme, and I love silly replacement SFX in Deathmatch maps. I now know that the DSSLOP sound from DWANGO6 is originally from Beavis & Butthead. Learn something new every day! The map itself is a very standard "1996 deathmatch donut". You know what I mean.
