It's 1 in the morning.. Why do I find myself coming to the most dusty corners of the archive on random sleepless nights? Common MIDIs here that probably have better versions now anyway. A lot of Beatles stuff.

    H2H-Xmas.wad

You'll always find this in Doom servers around the holiday season, Even if it doesn't have the best maps ever made, it's friggin' H2H Xmas. Legendary WAD.
The reviewer above sounds like a pretentious hipster D-bag. Music production is indeed difficult, Bobby and Romero knew this, hence these tracks going unused. Considering it's unused Game material, it's awesome. Hell, for the most part, it's awesome on it's own merit, however some come to near-lawsuit level of closeness, especially the Alice in Chains tracks. NEarly identical to their 'real' counterparts.
A list of the SFX in Doom 2. Serves no purpose whatsoever nowadays.

    Titania

Really like this one, stays true to the Ultimate Doom feel but the texturing is really clean, and there's cool architecture throughout.

    SMEGGER.WAD

Smegger2 is better, but this still looks decently fun for 4 players. I would have made some halls a bit wider. I love the name, Red Dwarf is a funny show. This guy made amusing textfiles for his WADs too, which is a plus (at least to me.)
I think Joe's maping is improving since this release.

Okay, I'm a sucker for oldies like this. I hate to use the word 'cute', but that's what this is, give it a whirl. Funny that some of the files mistakenly say "last edited 1980". The author would now be 31, I wonder what he would think if he saw this now :)
Rock/Metal lovers will really enjoy these. I googled John Wolanski and 12oz Draft and variations, but unsurprisingly found nothing. Some of these tracks are actually quite brilliant, it would be criminal if these songs continued to go unused - After all, they're 21 years old and they're written with TLC - Use these things!

    CYRC.WAD

Would make for a decent 1v1 map. Very small.

    Memphis.wad

Not that bad for 1994, but it hasn't stood the test of time well. Monsters fall with ease and there are some strange design choices, but hey.

    SMEGGER2.WAD

Hehe, the "Bugs" bit above made me laugh. This is a good WAD for DM - Not too large, but suitable for LMS or a 4+ player deathmatch. The only flaws I see is that one or two halls are slightly cramped, and there are a few bits of scenery in the way (candles and hanging bodies) - Very typical for 1996, and not really a problem anyway. You'd kinda have to be an idiot to get snagged on them. 5/5 in '96, but only 3.5 these days.
Kind of an interesting map actually and neat custom graphics. I've heard this midi a million times but never knew what it was..

    sev3.WAD

Reminds me of my first attempts at making maps with WadAuthor as a young child. Complete with gigantic, boring, badly textured rooms, lava pits that don't hurt, incorrect use of "unpegging" on doors, random things placed everywhere. Far too large to have been any good for DM at all, even back then.
I think you mean 'pianos'. A bunch of boring Piano midi that doesnt suit Doom, though a track or two kinda sound like Banjo Kazooie music.
This is notably detailed for a 1996 WAD, and it actually looks decent for DM (or maybe LMS.) "I seem to remember one night where 4 of us were playing and we all had 30+ frags before we realized the sun had just risen, much to our surprise..." Oh god, the text files in these old Doom WADs are always so cute... Back when 30 frags was a whole lot I guess!
Because it uses Legaxy features, it also runs perfectly in Zandronum - not that you'd want to. A nice looking square room with thin hallways.. Can't imagine it's much fun at all, but it doesn't look awful. Skip it.
Funny sound effects, but there are mapping errors around that cause invisible walls and objects. Hasn't aged well... Another Doom antique.

    Cool Stuff 3

HAHAH, you know that "Lemmings" skin, where you die and he screams "MY NUTS" in a high pitch voice? It comes from this, here's how it sounded before being edited.. Hilarious. The Plasma Gun is awesome, the maps are strange but by no means bad, just very unique in their design. Some bits are very detailed, some bits are very plain. Worth checking out.
Those Nirvana MIDIs you've heard 9 million times before.
I'm not gonna lie, the area with the health bonus bongs and stuff made me laugh.. Just another jokewad, only for fans of the stuff.

I'm not really sure what to say about this WAD. Was it meant for DM? was it meant to be a race? I can't get past the first room - shot the switch, opened the door, rode the lift and got a BFG.... Now what? Also, That face on the floor is really detailed. I'd be curious to see more from this author as he clearly knows the ins and outs of mapping - I was just left confused with this one.

    Mega MatlocK

Map05 and Map08 seem pretty good. The others, not so much. I love MST3K, but jesus christ, hitting ESC made me jump about 10 feet.
Just a bunch of giant rooms and giant shapes, there's nothing here really.
This should be a standard feature for modern source ports - very cool idea.
