  2. Junkyard

This is a DeathMatch for Doom II and accomodates up to 4 players. It is a dark night, you and your buddies sneak into the junkyard to duke it out. This level is a junkyard and has an office in the center. The WAD is not huge and not too small, lots of hiding in the office and holing up in the corners of the yard, where the junk (and weapons) are. No BFG in this one, it would greatly upset the power balance ... in my opinion. Weapons are easily incorporated using your favorite editor, should you really want to add a BFG. BTW: There is no exit switch.

  3. Kick Yo Ass!

Kick Yo Ass! is a DOOM II deathmatch only level without any monsters except your friend-become-prey. It's stricktly move fast and kick ass from begining to end. The level consists of another arena (12 sided) surrounded by a deep moat (below) & hallways (above). One Teleporter at the bottom of each hallway entrance will transport you to that hallway (you can also jump accross from above and achieve the same thing). There is also one Teleporter in the central arena take you to the Holding Bag. Weapons, Ammo and Goodies are all over the place depending on the Skill level chosen at start (The higher the Skill level, the nastier the Weapons. There are windows accross from the arena which access semi-secret rooms with invisibility spheres and other goodies. These rooms are also accessible through a door in the hallways. They make for good ambush sites. The players start in one of the four connected hallways above the arena or in one of the semi-secret rooms. They will each find plenty of weapons to start them out (Nobody should get the upper hand). This level is great in DEATHMATCH 2.0 as well as regular Deathmatch.

  5. Lincon95 tourney

This level was used in the doom2 tourney at the Lincon95 convent. It's a deathmatch only with all weapons but the hideous BFG ( the plasma dosn't have to much ammo either ). And there is no exit, so if you wich to se who fragged who most times, we recomend a time limit. One last thing, the arrows points at elevators just push the walls and they go down.

  6. Judgement Day: Bug Fix and Extra Map

It was pointed out to me the other night on DWANGO that there was a minor bug in JDGMTDAY.WAD. It seems that you could get stuck in the room with the crushing floor if your health was above a certain level. Unfortunately, the "slow damage" option isn't available for crushing floors, and the "crushing ceiling" options didn't work the way I wanted them to. Now the room has a "hot floor" with a "2-5% damage" setting, so anyone getting stuck there with too high a health level will eventually croak :-)

  7. Kickin (DOOM II Deathmatch PWAD)

This is my second .wad file and I thought it turned out pretty good. It's a small deathmatch .wad for two or three people. All the weapons are included but you're out in the open for any big weapons. We played the level quite a few times and there are no bugs. My only problem is the ceiling and floor textures on the teleporters.

  15. JoJoBeat: DeathMatch Wad

Features: Hell's abyss, Snipe spots, central battle room, trap control room, and more!

    * SPECIAL FEATURE *

This wad has a crushing ceiling and enclosing walls that can be activated via a control room. Use the skull switch to bring the red walls down. Then walk into the green triangle to start the crushing ceiling. After your opponent suffers an agonizing death, you can then shut the crushing off by walking into the red triangle. This will also raise the red walls. Using the red walls to enclose can only work once, so make it count.

My friends and thought it was hilarious to watch each other bounce like popcorn in the Archvile pit!

  19. Kiss My Crosshairs

This one should be good for a change. So many PWADs I've seen look like they've been thrown together in a couple hours. Dark circular arena with large spiral staircase in center under main skylight. Various concentric corridors, rooms, and lifts at different heights and vantage points. Detailed texture mapping and original architecture. When I put the monsters in, they looked right at home! Especially that sun- sucking, fire-wielding Arch-vile and those sniper- like heat-seeking missile-launching Revenants!

  23. JAIL.WAD

Lots of time went into making this level not only a joy to look at but a joy to deathmatch in. It is a fairly simple design, and has been used in both 2 and 4 player matches. There are monsters because I like them in deathmatches some times. It is called Jail.wad because I originally started it with the aim to make a prison yard or something, but it changed as I went on.

  24. Lil' Piggy

Lil' Piggy! The next installment in my "piggy" series. This wad has a similar structure to piggy.wad yet gets a completely differnet feel to it as I have added a few ideas to old ones. Use this wad in 1-on-1 matches for a really "fair" match. I tried to eliminate the "cheating frags" on this level by taking out hiding places. There is of course some piggy trademarks, namely the "quick stairs", the wood textures, and the BFG room. Some of you may dislike the BFG, but it really kicks ass in 4 player mode. Free for all 4 player or 2-on-2 teams works extremly well with this wad. Hope you enjoy this map, be looking for the next level in the piggy series, only from me and waded. :)

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
