  1. BCDEATH5.WAD

My favorite level! The entire level looks like a house. It is complete with bedrooms, bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, a billiard room, a pool complete with patio furniture, a library, etc. It even has some secret closets and passages and of course a dungeon basement.

I have played this level many times in four player Deathmatch and it is continuously a blast. Hint look for secret stuff in the billiard room.

Good luck. They are all challenging.

I welcome any feedback you might have.

  2. Alone in the Dark

This is quite a huge level. Not very tricky, or difficult for that matter. It's just plain fun "dooming"... Oh, and by the way; your monitor shouldn't be too bright when playing this level - that would spoil the effect of the dark areas.

  4. The Possessed Warehouse

The basic idea was to create a warehouse/office-like building with 4 floors, combined through a staircase centered around an open area, where it should be possible to see from one floor to another. - Well, I've got the staircase and a store- room, but the rest is not something you're likely to find in any normal buildings... But nevertheless have I tried to keep some kind of "realistic design".

  5. CONQUEST.WAD

Make your way through the building, facing a few different challenges. Watch your step, you may end up in prison for life!
This level is designed to be easy on level 1 and 2, manageable on level 3, challenging on level 4, and completely impossible on level 5.
There is enough ammo to score 100% kill ratio on all levels.

The armory! What a perfect place to end up. So damn many hell spawn around, now you can mop them up! Be careful, security is tight and there are measures to keep the weapons safe. With some skill you can get to them and take care of business.

  9. Chainsaws-a-go-go.

Its the annual buzzsaw festival, need I say more. A great way to relieve stress. Can be used as single player with monsters or as a deathmatch. For best results either ban the use of the pistol or use a hack to give the players no bullets. This wad probably works better in deathmatch2. Happy hacking, slashing, cutting, chopping.

  10. Satan's Hell Hole

This is my third and what I think is my best Wad. Plenty of graphics changes as well as a nice layout for all modes. Single or Multi Player.

The other Wads I've done were made with only single players in mind. I've taken the time to add all the things I like in a good Deathmatch Wad as well as keeping it interesting for single players. You'll find lots of windows, hiding places, and fair deathmatch starts. I recommend Deathmatch with no monsters. When I first tested it in Deathmatch mode I feared the size(Huge) would make Deathmatch frustrating but it worked out fine. We averaged about a Frag every 1.5 mins to 2 mins which isn't bad

There is an aggrevating transporter puzzle which will frustrate many. If you use your mind(it's a terrible thing to waste) it can be easily solved. Or just keep transporting until you see the transporter with the Blue Armor.

I finished the Level with no problems in about 21 mins. Of course it's not going to be nearly that easy for you because I made it. Use the save early and often.

Well enjoy the Wad and send comments so I can make better Wads in the future.

  14. castlem.wad

You find yourself in a dark cave facing a large castle. Don't stare too long, though, or you will die.

Once inside the castle, you must fight your way from room to room and find the switches that will let you escape.

This is the second level I have done, but the first was rather basic. This level was designed mainly for a single player. I have not tried this level in cooperative or deathmatch modes, but it should work.

Please send comments/suggestions to the above e-mail address.

  16. Cyber Death

This level has been designed with a similar theme to E2M8. It's a huge outdoor area with scores of large pillars scattered randomly about; there is a fairly large open area in the center of the level... There are quite a few lost souls flying around, but the main adversaries (for single play) are CyberDemons. Yes, that "s" belongs there! Here's what you will face with the various skill levels:

    Skills 1 & 2: Tons of lost souls... 1 Imp (you'll see...) 1 CyberDemon

Skill 3: Tons of lost souls... 1 Imp (he does serve a purpose!) 3 CyberDemons

Skills 1 & 2: Tons of lost souls... 1 Imp (something about this room...) 6 CyberDemons ;-D

Each skill level has enough ammo to defeat all of the monsters (this *has* been tested!). Thjs level should seperate the men from the boys...

There's a smashing exit! This was in my first PWAD (E2M1SAS.WAD) which (as far as I know, was only distributed on AOL) and fits in quite nicely.

The level has also been set up for Death Match (a primary design feature!). Skill 3 is probably best for this. There are hidden teleporters and a few other hidden goodies for when the ammo is low and your opponent is close...

I hope you enjoy this wad file. It is my second real effort at constructing a level. Have at it. Enjoy the maiming and killing.

The level is named after the song "A Whiter Shade of Pale." It has some huge rooms with varying number of monsters determined by the difficulty setting.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
