  1. TECHBASE.WAD v1.0

After the "Doom" incident an interplanetary war was sparked between the Humans and the creatures from Hell. You were sent on a mission to a major enemy military installation to gather intelligence....but you were captured. Sl`Tek Kor, Commander of the 121st Infantry (also a spider daemon), found you lurking around and imprisioned you....but not before you were able to find out that a major weapons shipment is about to take place.

You find yourself now inside the holding cell in the military compound. A drop ship has arrived and the weapons are being loaded on by Sl`Tek Kor himself. You've gotta find a way inside that drop ship and get to wherever those weapons are headed. Wherever it is.....it's gotta be BIG...

Read the file TECHBASE.STY included in the zip to get a complete background. It also includes useful info concerning the presence of Sl`Tek Kor. (Play the WAD.....you will understand then...)

  4. TOWER2.WAD

Episode 3 level 1 has always been kinda lame for me. Not much happening there....and the only way to crank it up a little was to hurry thru it. TOWER.WAD replaces E3L1 with what I attemped to be a "classic" type of DOOM level. Check out the "BARON TUBE". I should add that this wad was originally designed for CO-OP play, but has been edited for single player mode. (It's much more fun in co-op though). If someone should try it...and you think it's too busy...please let me know. : TOWER2.WAD has the HOM corrected in the center courtyard...plus minor cosmetic changes. :

  7. TALPOIDA

Welcome to talpoida.wad, my second wad and a continuation of the storyline first presented in uca.wad. If you're curious as to what the full storyline is, then I recommend getting a copy of uca. As for TALPOIDA, it replaces e2m2 and was constructed using DEU5.1 and BSP1.0. It is fine-tuned for single player mode; multi- player mode and deathmatch are supported though not tested. Also, talpoida was designed to be played in succession with uca.wad; you can certainly play it as a stand-alone, but you may find some of the fighting situations a little tense without the weapons you have obtained from uca.wad (of course, you could always use the cheat codes, but where's the fun in that? :) ).

  10. There's no place like home.

You're sitting back in your easy chair relaxing by the fireplace and watching a star trek rerun on the tube when you get this eerie feeling. You look around the room which now seems unfamiliar and a horrible realization comes upon you... This isn't your house! There's a strange noise coming from the kitchen and slowy, carefully you go...

  11. THEKEEP2.WAD

TheKeep2 is the final update of The-Keep.Wad. The medieval castle has few secrets to give away but playing a deathmatch can be fun. The chaingun appears to be the weapon of choice in this wad. There are two places now to pick it up.

Thekeep2 is a castle with towers, dungeons, and a moat. It has a good deathmatch or single-player layout.

  12. SS27BET2.WAD

This replaces SS27BETA.WAD which had a few crucial stuffups preventing 100% kills etc. sorry :(

Ok, ok.. this isn't finished coz deu won't handle files of arbitrary size (yet). I thought it would be fun nevertheless so here goes. This s'possed to be a level with 4 arenas in each major direction... Each arena will have a theme when I finish this (Fire/Acid/Earth/Stealth). At the moment the central sections is done and the arenas are sorta stubbed. This level will be part of an eposode later. It is meant to replace e2m7 so its pretty rough in places (even on the easiest level). It's pretty open with only a few doors requiring keycards. So don't be too concerned if a whole heap of voices rises to meet your gunfire . There are peep holes and ambush spots almost everywhere so happy deathmatch! Most heavy firepower is heavily guarded or hidden. The only easy weapon to get is the shotgun. Also no BFG here (yet). ...and contrary to popular belief plasma gun can be reached. Apart from that this level is mostly hack, slash and ambush type. You DO need to find one secret to finish this level (but it has three hints pointing at it. It's dead obvious from the map).

BTW: This *IS* a large file so a grunty machine is recommended. Don't even contemplate a 386. 486DX/33 VLB and > 4Mb recommended. If you don't have VLB it *will* be sluggish. If you don't have > 4Mb it will swap like hell. (pun intended)

There now go kill something... Send me some hate mail.

TRENCH WARFARE! An incredible DEATHMATCH adventure. Hunt down your buddies in an intricate maze of trenches, while seargants and imps shoot at you from above. Watch out for baddies in the trenches too. No, we didn't overload the level with bad guys, they are just strategicaly placed. Remember, this is a WAR, not masacre. FOR MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT, TURN RESPAWN ON! The level will run out very quickly if you don't. Trust us. We have play tested this for hours, and hours, and hours, and hours. : There is a cooperative exit for multi-player, and a simple one for single player. Oh, and have a good time, all the time. : Did we mention that you should turn RESPAWN on? doom -file trench.wad -respawn

  15. Symbolic.wad

I tried to make this wad playable for everyone, easy to hard levels (not impossible), no places to get indefinately trapped, all textures match up, theres one place where there are switches but aren't shown as switches, this is intentional (they're in an obvious location though). This is my first creation so I don't know what to write other than I believe it's worth the download. I'm very critical about myself, so it's probably better than I think, and I think it's good!

Well, perhaps it's time to update this. No elaborate maps of New Jersey, no amateurish clipping errors to put up with... just a clean and slightly diabolical level for the dedicated Deathmatch player! A few secret passages provide opportunities for healthy backstabbing and rabbit punching, just the way you like it. :-) Other secrets and physical feats abound. A few monsters thrown in to keep everyone honest...

These should be quite easy to complete even with 100 % kills for experienced Doomers. They should also be accessible to less experienced Doom players... If you make use of your mind, you can even make them trivial...

They are also intended as doom-tricks 'libraries' for doom level makers, showing a few tricks that could be integrated to bigger Wads.

  21. TTADOM11.WAD

You are a hyper-cool tech-warrior who likes to kick demon ASS! Since you had nothing to do after your last mission, which involved destroying an entire solar system of tards and mutants, you chose to infiltrate a fu'ped space base in some deep dark sector of the galaxy. Hearing reports of hell itself invading the basement, you figured that the place could prove to be entertaining! Now you've teleported into a tiny room with nothing but a shotgun, due to those damn inter-planetary customs officials, but this doesn't dampen your spirits. Gritting your teeth so hard that your gums bleed, you hit the switch to begin the descent into hell where Satan's gonna have his Day of Reckoning!!!

This level is fully ready to play as a Multiplayer game of any size and type. It also only bothers with the Ultra Violence skill level, so even if you choose an easier level, you'll still get almost all of the same enemies.

Here is a compact, intense level that I built use BEU5.0 and BSP11X. It is very violent. Lots of monsters, and lots of weapons to kill them with. There is a small amount of trickiness, but mostly this level will test your basic DOOM skills. There's always another monster around every corner, and don't forget to look behind you.

  25. tree1_0.zip

This is a moderately difficult level, although different skill levels are implemented. It features a broad array of monsters and weapons, with just enough health to get you through the rough parts. A few nifty effects can be achieved with barrels, ceilings, and floors, if you do the right things. This is not an entirely hack-n-shoot level, and minimal intelligence is required (sorry, couldn't help it!).

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
