Btw, I also decided to try to get back into mapping and start working on a Quake-styled map. If you want something done well, do it yourself. Don't you want to make a Quake map for our Quake community project Parallel Doomentions? @damned Do we still have slots? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Well, the project is little bit stuck with still few slots free, so anyone who would like to contribute still can. :) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
rita remton Posted July 11, 2023 perhaps on the easy side, but it is currently out of my league to complete it in [uv]. managed only half-way (up to manipulating arachnotrons to kill archviles and a horde of imps). need to "git gud" more :P anyway, good luck :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Cosmic79 Posted July 12, 2023 I found Frog and Toad to be an impossible hard parkour wad 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted July 12, 2023 Oh yeah I just remembered, you could also check out Hardfest (with a name like that you'd think I would have thought of it sooner...). It's a varied set, so skip around until you find something you like. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Plut Posted July 15, 2023 A couple more recommendations for people following the thread: - Can't Run From Evil and DemoniZed by NokturnuS. Big beautiful non-linear maps with lots of crossfire from big hordes. - Miasma by Tourniquet, which I just discovered and haven't completed yet (it's really difficult). A very atmospheric huge map with beautiful architecture and intricate detail, Death-Destiny sort of gameplay. Definitely will be checking out more maps by him. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Hell Revealed I is pretty tame by today's standards to be considered sadistically hard. However, the sequel is definitely as malevolent as any vanilla megawad can get. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Horus Posted July 18, 2023 I found this mapset brutally challenging and each map only has 10 monsters so it's not grindy 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
