Execution: Head to Head DM has been released. Go on over to the page to check it out. 18 levels for you to frag a friend, or an enemy. The 3.3 meg download can be gotten at the Execution site. What's next you ask? A possible ZDoom modified version.
Colin Phipps has released an updated music server at the LxDoom site for use with this Linux Doom port. Let him know how this newer versionw works out! There's also word that some of LxDoom's latest documentation installs itself in the wrong directory.

Colin Phipps has released version 1.4.3 of his Linux Doom port LxDoom which now has improved mouse resolution and several "robustness" fixes to the networking code and build problems. You can find the source mirrored at our source port section as usual. LxDoom is now also registered on SourceForge.

Richard Clark sent word that he is about to start a new project: an original turn-based role-playing / strategy game set in the "Doom: The Next Chapter" theme. It will not be based on the Doom sources, but coded from scratch to include all the DTNC elements like like backgrounds, character generations, weapons, items and monsters. Says the man:
An editor will be included, so people may create their own scenarios. The focus now is on the single-player game, but a multi-player mode is also planned at a later date. Work on this new game will get into full swing after Rick finishes his current projects, so expect more info in the near future at his DNTC page.
