After many months of inactivity, the Mordeth TC Site has been update with a big status report about the goings-on of this long-long-long-awaited project. What's going on? Rob Berkowitz has joined up, as well as Nick Baker and perhaps Anthony Soto. Textures and sprites continue, and Gaston is waiting on some new engine features to be implemented before he can add in a bunch of new content. He's also thinking of episodizing Mordeth and allowing people to choose which episode they want to play at a time, and maybe also unique weapons for each episode (I like that idea).
The StroggOnMeth site has updated to tell about helping the Doom Legacy guys incorperating Boom support as well as adding a "few new" undisclosed features. Well, that certainly wasn't expected...

Almost missed this one. The version of JHeretic released earlier seems to have contained a corrupt resource WAD. It has since been fixed and re-uploaded to our source port section. Go and play Heretic in all its OpenGL glory now!
For some reason all of Raven-Games' hosted sites seem to be inaccessible at the moment... hope this gets fixed soon.

A bit over schedule, but whatever... Nostromo has posted The Official HACX Page which includes all sorts of info about this Doom 2 total conversion, screen shots, a "help wanted" page for possibly creating a full 32-level version and, most importantly, the full version of HACX available for download. That's right, if you haven't gotten HACX -- which was worked on by Fanatic, Adelusion, Looking Glass's Iikka Keranen, and id Software's Kenneth Scott, among others -- now is your chance.

Doom Arena has been updated with a new screenshot of level 6 of the in-progress level set, which includes a new texture by the author which he's careful to point out is completely original (heh).

Marian Kechlibar sent word that due to the strong Doom community in the Czech Republic (personally I must plead ignorance), he's put up a page entitled Doom-CZ which is in both English and Czech.

Covaro sent this in so I'll post it... I really have no idea WTF he's talking about so this is sort of a service to him. Post stuff in the comments if you can figure it out because I certainly can't.

Twice Risen has a nice long update (always the best kind) showing off a gun model Michael Niggel has been messing around with. He talks about sprite progress a little, and also mentions possible OpenGL support and adding in MD2 models, something which he says he very much would like to do (there goes the entire idea of big monster hordes, I guess).
