    Oliver Brakmann has released a new demo recording and playing front-end called Demon, which is also capable of sorting LMPs in different catagories and has support for DHT exams.

    Sean White sent word that the Thrust project will be switching codebase to... quake. He has also made the Doom-specific Thrust textures and sprites available to the general public.
    In other Sean-related news, a new test version of his SmashDM mod will be released soon, pending some code changes and addition of bonus stages. He could also use some more character skins, if anyone's listening. Plus, he's expecting some new sounds that ought to be quite good.

    The JHexen site carries a list showing some of the issues that still need to be adressed for the next version of this OpenGL Hexen port. The author also put up two screenshots of the Doomsday console and the rewritten control configuration menu.

    John Frank has donated a MD2 model of the SS'er to Michaƫl Ryssen's DoomGL source port. Most (if not all, I haven't been counting) sprites can now (optionally) be replaced by MD2 files. This leaves glHeretic and glHexen... anyone care to create MD2 files for those two..?
