Fraggle has released a new version of SMMU (for Christmas, obviously) which includes hub support as well as a new menu system.
What's that, you say? You didn't even know there was a Gothic 99 in production? That's because it was done all secret-like. Nonethless, Gothic 99 has been released, with 8 all-new levels of fragging fun. Well, 2 of the levels were those in that contraband WAD "Gothic 98," but they're included in this WAD which isn't scheduled to be pulled on New Years'. The talents of Mattrim Dixon, Martin Friberg, David Gevert, Derek MacDonald, Michal Mesko, Colin Portratz, Marc Pullen, Dan Twomey, Quinshuo Wang, and others were tapped to bring to you this hyper-detailed, Boom-compatible-only deathmatch WAD. If you enjoyed the frenetic fragging frenzy of Gothic DM, Gothic DM II, or Gothic 98, Gothic 99 ought to be right up your alley! Get it now!

I was told by SailorScout that Jeremy Statz of Raven Software has finished up and released, just in time for Christmas, an old Doom 2 WAD of his entitled "Zar." You can read the plan update here or download the actual WAD here. But if you like it, it probably won't do much good to ask him to make levels for your Doom project :)

Well, I'm off for the holidays. This means that our resource sections probably won't be updated with new versions of source ports and the like, but I'll only be gone for a week or so. Thus, a Merry Christmas to all of you, and I'll see you back after the New Year!

He also talks about trying to get the Big News Sites to post stuff about his "Fragging Fanatical" CD and talks about the EDGE engine a little bit.
