    In case you missed the date, Fanatic's first music class assignment is due in today. He's made the announcement on his page that he will make available both the zipped up MIDIs for download as well as MP3-encoded versions of the tracks, for those of us without soundcards with good MIDI support.

    Vavoom 1.8

    Janis Legzdinsh has sent word of a new version of Vavoom on the one-year anniversary of the project. The biggest new feature from this version is the inclusion of the light engine from Quake, with some added enhancements such as colored lighting.
    Note: The download pages over at Mindless Games & Entertainment seem to be broken, so you can\'t actually download Vavoom at the moment. Oh well.

    Slayer1 has sent in the news that the doom2.org logo contest has ended, with Toke being the winner. He's also announcing a new contest, this one is to help create an official skin pack for newer versions of ZDaemon. More details can be found at the doom2.org site.

    Ebola has just completed the moving process and have set up the official Team Unholy homepage right here at Doomworld. Team Unholy's current project is a partial conversion for Doom 2 named Ni'mrod, which will specifically be for Doom Legacy.

    Korax's Heritage Mod

    RambOrc has sent in the news that he and his team have released the Korax's Heritage Mod, a source modification of JHexen to add RPG elements. Now the differences between the 3 classes are much more pronounced, with various skills, spells, and actual experience points. All of this is building up for their real project, a total conversion for Hexen entitled Korax's Heritage, but in the mean time the Korax's Heritage Mod can be downloaded and played with the regular Hexen data. Enjoy!
