Um, bad pun I know. But I thought it kinda fit well. Marc has moved from his role as game developer to movie producer/director. Well, let's just say that from what Marc has said, this should be a truly interesting teaser. Why? Well... I guess now you get the point. For the whole deal, check out the Asylum.
Well, since I am the HPB of DW, I'll bring you the news. But one of the other lazy SOB's that work here will bring you the mirror. But to tell you what I must say, I must say it. Soooo... Room Over Room Doom (hence the name) has updated with a downloadable alpha for you to play with. You know you want it! GO GO GO!
At the JHexen site there's word about moving the OpenGL rendering routine in a seperate DLL, creating a Direct3D rendering routine and fixing the lens flare slow-down problem while you're at it. Looking good.
Jamie Robertson was kind enough to send along word of the first teaser trailer for the Doom 2 partial conversion megawad Doom Millennium, due out on April 2. Here's a couple of pictures to warm you up:

Desktop Doom has been updated with a screenshot of a SmashDM arena that Thomas Sturm is creating, as well as the news that his DICK is going to be a WAD editor instead of a level editor. Apparently he hasn't touched his DICK in ages, so I hope he can get back into the swing of things.
I got word of a new Doom project in development called "Kill," news of which is available over at Ike's Asylem of Games. And yes, I know, but after he registered that subdirectory, he couldn't just let it sit there, right?
Have you been dying to play a 3D action game with rooms over rooms, and for some reason you can't play Quake or Unreal or any of the other games to come out in the past 4 years? Then head over to Room over Room Doom, a Boom modification which is on track to providing total room-over-room support in Boom or anything else it's ported to, something which the author is designing to be as painless as possible.
Another new Doom site has arrived into the community. This time from one, Christian Hansen. What is it, well it is a site where he plans to showcase his works as well as take time to occassionally review other peoples levels. Fairly simple. I also have to mention that the design of the site is your usual looking Doom page. Not very dark. Kinda interesting if you ask me. Well go on, check it out.
