I do have DOOM2X.WAD I believe, if I don’t, I do not plan on opening the sealed PC Gamer Magazine that has it on CD. But I can tell you it had no maps as PC Gamer was particular about it having no copyrighted material that wasn’t my own. Basically Ultra Doom2X is the uncut version of Doom2X I wasn’t allowed to post with other various bug fixes. Also thanks for the comment on the YouTube video I posted replaying it! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Never_Again Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) I'd been putting together a list of D1 compilation WADs over the past few years, so imagine my bewilderment when I found parts of that list in this thread! Well, it's simple enough: both WS and I used the same format, introduced by Gary Karnik in the WADPAK series. Now that we have most of the data here it's time to consolidate it. @Wadmodder Shalton, perhaps you could edit posts #2 and #3 of this thread to list in alphabetical order all the D1 and D2 compilations scattered around this thread? Right now all this data is hard to navigate, especially with DW's Search function being nearly useless. Two WADs not mentioned so far: BIGGEST E1M1 AT_WORK E1M2 KILLZONE E1M3 11GETBFG E1M4 SCARVES E1M5 HELLGATE E1M6 QUARK1 E1M7 SLY1 E1M8 BIOTECH This is on DSDA, fixed by Maikl. I don't have the original. FEPISODE (txt) NEWDOOM, reuploaded as a "leaked" new id WAD by the Euphoria scene group, whose members later contributed to WOPWORLD. Misc. notes: the ALIENLEV in Frank Provo's ALIENS/ALIENS-X is v1.x; the version on /idgames is v2.2 BONSAI: this is BANZAI with added SFX and music, as well as edits to some maps. NEWHITSC E1M9: I haven't been able to track down this as a standalone, so it may be an original, made specifically for this compilation. The author of NEWHITS1 is Mike Brashars, BTW; the "author" of the NEWHITSC edit - the difference is more than just the extra map - posted it anonymously. Now to fill some gaps in DL77's contributions: ALIENS (Boom 3 CDROM) E1M8 modified E1M8 CLEIMOS (Boom 3) E1M5 UBSCRWD (3ripnwad.zip) DM_BAY94 E1M1 DOCKING by Blackfist E1M8 SHOWDWN2 EOD_DOOM E1M3 DMPITS (modified E1M6) IMPZONE (Boom 3) E1M3 IMPZONE2 LEGIONS (Boom 3) E2M8 INFERNO (same CDROM) MAYHEM (Boom 3) E3M1 TONE2 (ace_dwf) NEXTDOOM (Boom 3) E3M6 NEWHITSC E1M9 OFFICE (Boom 3) E3M5 BILLY TANGO E2M8 original by Paul Thureen and Matt Hensrud (reading the accompanying TXT file can be useful sometimes, even though it got the map slot wrong) WADPAK2 (Boom 3) E3M4 OPOST21 WADPAK4 (Boom 3) E1M4 DMSEWER E1M6 KAT (dmkat.zip) Great work, guys! Extra Kudos to WS for going the extra mile to do it just right. 💞 Edited December 6, 2021 by Never_Again 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SiFi270 Posted December 6, 2021 Unofficial Chex Quest 3, the one from 2001 with weapons taken from HacX and STRAIN. Not sure where it can be found nowadays, I had to recover it from a computer I haven't used in years. SHA1 is 100FD7B4DEC9DD299D7756CC3A6A419A94264926 and CRC32 is A6A5BF06. Anyway. E1M1: Infinity E1M1 E1M2: Eternity E2M4 E1M3: Serenity E3M3 E1M4: Infinity E1M4 E1M5: Infinity E1M5 Also quite a few of its sounds were from ZanZan. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doomlover77 Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) @Never_Again Mayhem E2m7 is actually Tone2.wad. It’s also known as Temple.wad. @Doomlover77 Also, I’m certain Wadpak2.wad on the Boom3 cd is identical to Wadpak3.wad on the idgames archive. @Wadmodder Shalton Dwango5 m23 is Pizza.wad not Fragfest.wad & m20 is Gigakill M4 ‘Olympus’ not Thearena.wad. @Doomlover77 Edited December 6, 2021 by Doomlover77 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Never_Again Posted December 6, 2021 TONE2 (CRC32: 98669640) is not known as anything else. It has nothing to do with TEMPLE (CRC32: A61EBB14) except that both are part of the same ACE_DWF package. Now that you mention MAYHEM E2M7, it is that TEMPLE. MAYHEM E3M1 is TONE2. Anyone with the Boom 3 ISO and ace_dwf.zip on hand can verify that within a minute. Do you take a look at least at the maps of the WADs you post about? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doomlover77 Posted December 6, 2021 @Never_Again I’ve played the wads some time ago now and did some screenshots. Then I typed out the maps list on this post from a database on my iPhone which I will upload over the next few days. @Doomlover77 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Wadmodder Shalton Posted December 6, 2021 I wonder if the DSDA has even more compilation PWADs with maps from the mid-1990s that @Doomlover77 can find. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
